Maxime Miville
Having grown up under the influence of the hip hop movement, Canadian producer Maxime Miville happened upon a fork in the road and chose the path towards electronic music around the beginning of the millennium.

He first began dabbling with the sample-heavy side of electronic when he discovered the sound and breaks of the now infamous Ninja Tune record label. By also having many techno deejays as friends, it wasn’t long until his interest in techno flourished and his production style followed suit.

In 2008, after much practice and a lot of research and inspiration, he was discovered by Pheek, the head of the label Archipel. Pheek forced him out of seclusion by promptly signing him up for his first techno release. March 2009 saw the release of his “Runner’s High EP” on Archipel, featuring remixes by Rico Puestel and Rico Casazza and later that year he contributed the third release on the Monsieur Musique label. The rest is yet to come.

Maxime describes his style of techno as “deep, melodic and emotional.” Indeed it is.
